A Working Woman

This isn't the first time I have had a job while not being in school. In High School I would get a job every summer; picking up trash on the highways, blowing my whistle at the little kids swimming in the pool, and then blowing my whistle at the other lifeguards who were supposed to be watching the kids in the pool. :D But this break I am having a whole new experience in the "real working world". I get up at the butt crack of dawn every morning. Which is a major hurdle all in its self. I then go to the office and sit at a desk and look through files. And some days when there aren't enough files for me to look through my father will find books that need to be moved from one room to another. :)
It has been a very cool experience spending four days a week with my dad.  I don't think I have ever spent so many consecutive hours in the same building as my dad.  Except I made the mistake of telling him that I could see myself being a lawyer and now he takes every opportunity to show me another perk of the job.  It's cool to see how passionate he is about his career.  I could only hope to find that one career that made me so happy and I wouldn't mind having to bring home after I left the office.
Other then work all I do is sleep.  Amazingly, packing boxes of books and files to different rooms and closing files (which consists of typing letters) is extremely exhausting.  :) I think it's because I'm getting up to early! Haha!
I miss all my family in Utah and being able to see all of you so often! I wish I could live in both places at once! Make money here with dad and spend time with my mom and sisters and also be in Utah hanging out with the retired and playing with the cousins! I love you all and I hope everything is going well for you!

Only ONE week left!! Yippy!!

So don't get me wrong... I absolutely love school and learning and all that... but after going to school for more then a year straight with only a seven week break in between I am worn out! Plus with all the new additions to the family this past week I am so excited to go home and meet everyone!
I am so excited to meet little Cash and Duke (my grandparents' new puppy).  More excited for Cash as you probably all can understand! I've been super excited for his arrival and its killing me being so close yet so far away. I already started packing so that I can head home that much sooner!
I got to see a picture of Cash and he is such a cute little guy!! Goodness!! Congrats Matt and Amber on the new arrival!! And thank you to whoever took the pictures!!
Well, before I get to see everyone I have a fairly hectic week ahead of me.  A couple papers, exam, and a speech.  I am pretty lucky though, my roommate has nine tests!! Haha!! Over achiever!! :)
I am so thankful for my family and the amazing people they are!! Love you guys!! I can't wait to see all of you!!

My quirks? Hmmm...

Well... I am now faced with the challenge from my wonderful Aunt Val to think of 6 personal quirks... This may be difficult... ;)
1. I am always on the look out for Ninja warriors.  Lol. This may sound a little paranoid but every time I am out in public I am always prepared for them to come and try to steal my purse or drop down from the ceiling to fight me.
2. Another thing that I always do is watch people.  I love noticing little silly things people do and how odd some of God's creatures can be.  The problem with this is that I am always the one noticing people when they are doing embarrassing things, which in turn makes ME blush.
3. A horrible quirk or mine would be the fact that it doesn't take much for me to blush... and in fact I am blushing right now as I am writing this. While living in Utah this summer it was my grandpas favorite trick to make me blush as much as possible. :) It was a fun game... for him! But being here at BYU I though I have found that this is a pretty good tool when it comes to flirting with the men... for some reason many of them find it to be cute.
4. My roommates sometime get annoyed with this quirk of mine... When I'm watching TV I tend to talk back to it.  I really have no explanation for why I do this other than the fact that I am a little odd. Thanks DAD!!! :D
5. The fifth quirk that I posses is my color matching issues.  I can not, physically can not, wear brown and blue in the same outfit.  And I also can't wear black and blue, or black and brown. My mom has told me multiple times that these colors are fine together but... I just can't do it.
6. My last quirk is my lack of self control when it comes to impulses.  I don't even know how many times I have said things that make me blush instantly or that I have regretted later. When I am bored it is especially difficult for me to fight physical impulses to either hurt people or objects. My family can contest to my spontaneous need to tackle them or hug them extremely tightly.  I have also taken out impulses on poor unsuspecting household objects.

I would have to contribute most of my quirks to that fact that I am just a little bit different and in order to not self destruct I have to find things to keep myself busy.  :) But I sure to keep life exciting for those around me!!
Well, Aunt Val this was pretty difficult but I am honored to have been tagged by you. I love you so much!! And sadly I don't have enough blogger friends so I am the loser that won't be tagging anyone.  I hope you enjoy this blog!

Awesome Concert!!

D'laney and I decided to attend the awesome concert here at BYU-I called Guitars Unplugged.  The concert consists of students performing songs with their guitars, and they do such a wonderful job! My favorite would have to be the "Pick up line song".  It was a song performed by two guys and they were trying to teach men how to us pick ups the right way verses using them inappropriately.  It was very clever and entertaining!!
But I'm pretty sure D'laney and I had way more fun getting ready for the concert.  I dressed up as rocker as I could; with my Skin tshirt with my tight jeans and hot pink and black high top Convers sneakers!! :D and D'laney had to do my hair and make-up of course!!

I Should Be Fired

I am SOOOOO sorry for not keeping up with my blog.  I am such a loser. :D I'm not trying to make excuses for my neglect but I have been pretty busy lately and when I'm not busy I never think to update my blog.  So I'm very sorry and I will definitely not be winning the "best blogger" award.  Hehe.
So school is going really well.  My schedule isn't too hard or busy which is wonderful.  I'm currently taking 14 credits--psychology 101, english 111, public speaking, intro to guitar, and study skills-- which isn't too difficult.  Sometimes I feel like I should be taking more classes until I'm working on homework for what feels like forever.  Lol!
My roommates and living conditions are fabulous as well!! One of my roommates is an old friend from back home and she is absolutely wonderful!!! I didn't know her that well when we were young women together and getting to know her better and spending more time with her is great. I was really surprised to find out that we are very similar.  We are both OCD about a lot of silly things and it's great that she understands when I like things in a certain order or in a certain way.  She doesn't criticize me but rather says stuff like, "Oh my gosh! Me too!!" or "I do the exact same thing!!".  It's great.
My other roommates are pretty awesome too.  One of them is a senior who has an obsession with bluegrass and she can play the fiddle. Two of them are freshmen from Utah who are very motivated about school at the moment and are usually in their room working on homework. And my last roommate is pretty much engaged to this guy who is always here.  They make me sick... lol. Jk!
So I took some pictures for you so that you could see how great my apartment is (especially compared to the disgusting dorms!!) There's a picture of my room, the bathroom that I share with two of my roomies, kitchen, dining area, and the living room.  It's pretty boring when it comes to decoration but I love it!!
Well, I hope you enjoy this blog cause who knows when I'll update it again.  Hehe. I love you all and miss all of you like crazy!! I hope life is treating you right!! Love ya!!

SLC

So I've been having a great time down here in SLC. Matt and Amber have been amazing in keeping me entertained and allowing me to to hang out with them.  Since being here I've gotten good meals numerous times, mini golfed, watched movies, swam with the cousins, and just gotten to see and spend time with my family.  I love my family so much!!
Grandma and grandpa are worried that I've been bored while being here and that they aren't entertaining me well enough which isn't the case at all.  I really enjoy just chilling and relaxing with them.  It's been really awesome getting to know them more and being able to spend so much time with them.  :D
Well I thought that I would have more to say since it's been so long since I've blogged but this is about it.  Starting tomorrow me and grandpa have a couple projects that need to get done.  We are going to build a couple shelves for their closed and the bookcases downstairs. And we also have to fix the the fence that that dim wit broke when he tried to still grandpas truck. So this will for sure be an adventure.
Well, love ya! Thanks for checking out my blog!

Life in Mayberry

So before I begin I would first like to apologize for not posting anything for such a long time.  I really don't have a justifiable excuse other then laziness. :D My bad!
So after coming back to Lind for a 3 week visit I have no clue how I managed to survive!! Lind is so unbearably boring!!! My friends are all busy with work and everything that they don't really have time for me.  Lol. And when they do have time, they are so tired from working and everything that they don't really want to do anything other then sit on the couch and socialize. But I can't really blame them, what else is there to do?!
But with all of this it has been really good seeing my peeps and my family.  I am so ready to go though! My parents and I are trying to figure out certain guidlines and rules that I should follow since I am now on my own.  Of course I don't think I should have to be home at a certain time, but after I came home at 3 in the morning and having my mom chastise me, I figured out that they have a very different view on the matter.  So we have been having an almost silent argument or fight about this and I can't wait to be on my own again! But of course I still laugh at them and find this whole situation a little entertaining! :)
Well, I'm going back to SLC next week and I'm super excited but also wary of the boredom that may be waiting me there.  All in all, I can't wait to go back to school!!
